Hydroseeding is a superior and cost-effective way to produce new lawns, control erosion, commercial ground cover and land reclamation. Hydroseeding (or Hydro-mulching) is a process whereby seed, water, fertilizer and wood fiber mulch are mixed together in a slurry and applied evenly over the ground by spraying. In a single application, the ground is seeded, fertilized and watered. The seeds in the resulting soft green mat that covers the ground will quickly germinate because the mulch accelerates the growing process by maintaining moisture around the seeds thereby increasing the rate of germination and creating a thicker lush lawn.

If planting a relatively large area, Hydroseeding can be completed in a very short period of time. It can be very effective for hillsides and sloping lawns to help with erosion control. Results are often quick with high germination rates producing grass growth in about a week and mowing maintenance beginning around 3 to 4 weeks from the date of application. As your lawn grows and becomes established, the mulch fibers will gradually decompose, adding valuable humus to the soil.  It's quick and easy, so Call Us today for a FREE estimate and consultation.

HYDROSEEDING  vs.  BROADCAST SEEDING

Broadcast seeding is the least expensive way of growing a lawn but also the most ineffective. Seed cast over the ground is seldom uniform, often producing a patchy look as some areas don't get enough seed and others, too much. Also, the seed is left exposed to birds and squirrels as well as the wind which will eliminate seeds and produce an uneven lawn. Now there is the added cost of re-seeding and the added time it takes just trying to get the seed evenly spread on the ground and is usually a headache for the homeowner. Some things are best left to the professionals.

HYDROSEEDING  vs.  SOD

Sod is without a doubt the most expensive and labor intensive way to produce a lawn. Agreed, it does look mature when finished but it comes at a very high cost compared to Hydroseeding. Even a sod lawn requires meticulous care to grow it well without showing lines or irregularities.  For any bare ground that has contour, sod can be difficult to install and the labor costs go even higher. Save your money and get great results quickly and less expensively with Hydroseeding.
